March 21. On this date, corresponding to the
equinox, many prominent events in Bahá'í history occurred. An
ancient holiday celebrated in
diverse cultures, the vernal equinox is called
Nowruz in Iran and adjacent cultures. In the
Bahá'í context, Nowruz marks the start of the calendar year.
It is also the date that in 1909 that the remains of the Báb were buried in their current location by 'Abdu'l-Bahá.
