On this date in 1997, Hoda Mahmoudi, an Auxiliary Board Member, wrote an email to Frederick Glaysher after his successful advocacy for talk.religion.bahai, an unmoderated newsgroup forum uncontrolled by the Bahá'í Administrative Order. Since July 2012, Hoda Mahmoudi has held The Bahá’í Chair for World Peace at the University of Maryland, College Park.
