February 21. On this date in 1946, Shoghi Effendi sent a cablegram to the Bahá'ís of the United Kingdom, warning them about an individual that "owing to his brother's secession (from the) Faith, adherence (to) Islam, participation (in) politics, and association with his other brothers and mother who have flagrantly disobeyed Master's Will, communication with him and them (are) forbidden."

Assembly should exercise utmost vigilance (in) this matter otherwise as Master repeatedly warned contaminating influence will spread and imperil (the) structure of the faith. Cable his response, show utmost firmness."

ASSEMBLY SHOULD EXPLAIN TO ... OWING HIS BROTHER'S SECESSION FAITH ADHERENCE ISLAM PARTICIPATION POLITICS AND ASSOCIATION WITH HIS OTHER BROTHERS AND MOTHER WHO HAVE FLAGRANTLY DISOBEYED MASTER'S WILL COMMUNICATION WITH HIM AND THEM FORBIDDEN. ASSEMBLY SHOULD EXERCISE UTMOST VIGILANCE THIS VITAL MATTER OTHERWISE AS MASTER REPEATEDLY WARNED CONTAMINATING INFLUENCE WILL SPREAD AND IMPERIL STRUCTURE FAITH. CABLE HIS RESPONSE SHOW UTMOST FIRMNESS.
