April 17. On this date in 1918, Barbara Helen Rutledge Sims was in San Francisco. A third generation Bahá'í, she pioneered to Japan during the first Global Crusade where she was elected a member of the inaugural National Spiritual Assemblies of North East Asia and Japan.
