March 18. On this date in 1992, Bahman Samandari, an Iranian Bahá’í, was executed for espionage. A letter from the government stated "Although he is Baha'i by birth, his indictment had nothing to do with his belief, and the verdict issued has taken its legal procedure and approved by High Court."
