October 27. On this date in 1951, the first Bahá'í marriage in Italy occurred when Alessandro Bausani married Elsa Scola Bausani on October 27, 1951. Alessandro Bausani was a noted Italian Orientalist who converted to the Bahá'í Faith on April 8, 1950.
