June 7. On this date in 1972, the Universal House of Justice announced its decision to build the Seat of the Universal House of Justice. The architect was Hossein Amanat, brother of Abbas Amanat, Professor of History & International Studies at Yale University who is a former Bahá'í. It was completed in 1982 during the second stage of building on the Arc, and occupied in 1983.
