On this date in 1955, a letter stated "We have had so many letters asking for clarification of the statement in David Hofman's book about the relationship of the Hands of the Cause and the appointment of the Guardian's successor. The Guardian cabled us that the statement is incorrect in the book. He will be guided to make the right selection and in this matter will be infallible, and we must accept that or our whole understanding of the Will and Testament is in error."
